Overview

A Process and Procedure Mapper / Creator is required to join a Programme Management Office in a 12 month contract. We’re looking for candidates that have gained prior experience in documenting new processes and procedures and ideally have worked within projects of a facilities management or health & safety nature.

The Process and Procedure Creator will be working closely with colleagues within the Facilities PMO of this local government organisation which is undergoing organisational change. New procedures are required to support this change and will include areas such as procurement, facilities management and health & safety etc.

The Process and Procedure Creator’s role includes;

  • identifying needs for new/revised procedure;
  • undertaking research;
  • analysing work processes;
  • drafting procedure documents;
  • consulting on procedure documents;
  • reviewing draft procedure documents in the light of comments received;
  • trialling procedure;
  • refining procedure as a result of trials;
  • submitting final procedure documents for formal approval;
  • formally approving procedure documents;
  • disseminating procedure documents;
  • reviewing procedure;
  • produce, update and maintain procedure documents;
  • updating existing documentation to reflect current practices;
  • writing new procedures;
  • maintaining existing documentation;
  • a general understanding of Facilities Management and Health & Safety compliance issues;
  • some experience of documenting high-level processes

A long-term contract role for any candidate experienced in creating procedural documentation in a project / programme environment.

Skills:

  • Prior experience creating and maintaining procedural / process documentation
  • Prior experience within a facilities management or health & safety setting
  • Experience of working within local government / public sector
  • Prior experience in areas such as process mapping would be beneficial
  • Document Management experience
  • Excellent IT/PC skills
