Logistics Project Manager required for a fixed term of 3-4 years by our multi-institutional research client based in London. This is a key role, reporting to the Transition Director where you will be responsible for setting up the fulfilment and distribution centre that forms a critical element within this key programme of work.

Candidates will be degree educated (or equivalent) and have demonstrable experience of delivering similar large scale, business critical logistical/distribution projects ideally in a scientific or higher education environment. You will bring a thorough understanding of industry best practice ideally backed with a relevant industry qualification such CILT and a recognised project qualification such as Prince 2 or PMP that will ensure the smooth delivery of this critical element of the transitional programme.

With a solid background of delivering change related projects to challenging timescales you will be a very focussed and organised individual with meticulous attention to detail who is also capable of maintaining a view of the bigger picture. Candidates must also possess the enhanced influencing, negotiating, communication and stakeholder management skills acquired through experience of managing large logistical projects in demanding environments that are, at times subject to ambiguity and uncertainty. Excellent IT skills are essential particularly with MS Project and the MS Office suite of applications.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager with the right skills and experience to work on what promises to be a challenging yet rewarding project. There is also the potential for the role to evolve over the duration of the project which may present other opportunities as the programme progresses.


  • Experience of delivering large distribution / logistics projects
  • Degree educated (or equivalent)
  • Experienced with MS Project
  • CILT or equivalent qualification
  • Proven ability to work under minimum supervision (essential)
