Purpose
Fixed term Project Manager required to manage the development of new publishing ‘products’ for our not for profit client. Reporting to the departmental manager, you will work with information provided by the business development team to manage the full lifecycle delivery (including testing) of a range of client driven online products.
Candidates will have demonstrable experience of delivering projects within a publishing/digital publishing environment underpinned by formal project management training. A strong commercial focus will enable the driving of projects to meet the needs of the business. Whilst a good understanding of web technologies would be useful, this must be supported by more general business awareness.
This new role is funded for an initial 6 month period which may be extended if the business can see the benefits. Interviews are likely to be held w/e 10th September with an immediate start likely for the selected candidate.
- Examine the impact of new products on the operational environment
- Generate business case, scope and brief for each project
- Develop PIDs/PMP for implementation of new products
- Work with other operational areas to develop the processes associated with the new products
- Manage resources effectively
- Monthly schedules and budget reporting

Skills
- Demonstrable experience of delivering projects within a publishing/digital publishing or similar operational environment
