Join Arras People and Maven Training for a FREE event that will give you an overview of the
project management market trends in these difficult times

Difficult times are an inescapable fact of life in today’s businesses and the project management world is no different. Effective project delivery is still the main focus for organisations as they continue to focus on outcomes, driven by the need to implement projects that really boost the bottom line.

Effective project management delivery relies heavily on two main factors – skilled project managers in post and organisational capability and maturity in project management. In June 2009 we ask;

  1. Does your organisation have the project management capability and skills in place to ensure effective delivery of current and future projects?
  2. Should we be focusing on skills based training for our project managers or accreditations to maximise our delivery capability?
  3. Do we have the right recruitment and retention strategies in place to ensure we attract the best project managers as well as protecting our current project management assets?
  4. What are the current trends in the project management marketplace and how are our competitors faring in the current economic downturn?

Arras People – the Project Management Recruitment people – and Maven Training will join forces to answer these and other questions about project management in the current economic climate at a free breakfast seminar in London Monday 13th July. ‘Effective Project Management Delivery in Tough Times’ will be held at the Maven Training Centre in London 8.00-10.30am free to delegates, with guest speakers representing both Arras People and Maven Training scheduled to shed some light on the realities of the current project management marketplace.

John Thorpe, Managing Director of Arras People, will offer the recruitment side of the perspective, delving into how the economic downturn is affecting recruitment activity in project & programme management. Of particular focus from Thorpe will be talent attraction and retention strategies that co-exist with the realities of the bottom line. Trends in the PM workplace and current benchmarking information will also be presented for analysis.

Melanie Franklin, CEO of Maven Training, will come at the issues from the training organisation side, talking about both personal and professional development. Franklin intends to display how to get the balance right between accredited qualifications and skills-based development as well as finding the right balance between organisational needs and individual needs.

There is limited availability for those hoping to attend, so it's recommended that you book a spot online as soon as possible to avoid missing out.
