Assistant Project Manager

Purpose: An Assistant Project Manager opportunity has arisen within our Client’s software team. Reporting to the Project Manager you will provide project management support to the software projects undertaken.

In this role you will undertake functional project management making use of your in-depth knowledge of project management tools, techniques and procedure, key responsibilities and tasks are to:

  • Assist the Project Manager in the production and maintenance of project schedules
  • Liaise with the resource manager to identify resource loading across the organisations projects and feed into the PMO (Project Management Office) resources database to establish the forward load demand for the business
  • Provide support to the project teams with regard to the production of Contract Status Review Packs
  • Provide the link between the central PMO team and project teams
  • Provide advice on techniques for best practice project management to the project team
  • Ensure all project management related work carried-out is in accordance with our client’s best practice
  • Tailoring of Life Cycle Management to ensure that process has best fit to individual projects


Ideally, you will be fully conversant in the principles of Project Management and control, and as a member of the Project Management discipline, you will demonstrate effective leadership.

This position will require a self-motivated, confident and enthusiastic individual able to cope with a busy and pressured environment.

You must be capable of making decisions, using clear judgement and experience. Excellent communication skills are essential to interface with internal/ external needs

Salary Guide: £32,000 + Excellent Package
