Project Manager - Design

Purpose: Design and education based project management role available for any Project Manager who has a specific interest in the design sector and specifically is very enthusiastic and passionate about design (science, technology, engineering) and the championing of design skills within the UK.

A specialised role which demands a certain type of project manager. You'll be working within this small team with a remit of supporting and developing design within this country. You'll be specifically managing projects with internal partners (higher education institutes and business / industry) and all the usual is required in terms of project management ability:
 

• Developing and managing design skills projects from initial brief through to execution and delivery
• Managing internal partners and stakeholders expectation throughout the project lifecycle
• Day to day management of the project in terms of directing the project team, ensuring the deliverables and objectives are achieved through good planning, budget management and resource management
• Relationship building / networking across the business to ensure interdependencies from other departments are effectively communicated / managed.
• Project reviews to ensure progress is reported etc

We're looking for someone who has built up experience managing projects using a pragmatic and flexible approach, who may have experience already working with design related projects or within a design organisation. Ideally you'll be a design graduate yourself who has built up project management experience and are keen to move onto a more formal project management role. The projects you'll be managing are very educational based too so enthusiasm for design and education should be demonstrable in your application for the role
