Purpose: Asset Manager required to manage assets through the Avionics Supply Chain for our leading Defence contractor. Working within a dedicated team you will ensure that avionics assets are managed effectively through the strategic alliance network to meet customer needs.
Candidates will ideally be familiar with the MOD support environment but must display strong supply chain or asset management experience. Your Business and Finance qualifications will be complemented by excellent communication skills, general computer literacy and demonstrable Microsoft Office competence.

Management of assets through the Avionics Supply Chain to meet asset availability requirements including:
- Generating, managing and communicating Repair In feed Plans in conjunction with partners sites
- Expediting the 2nd line output with base commands
- Expediting the supply chain
- Review use of next higher or next lower assembly in conjunction with EDA
- Attendance at Supply Quarterly Meetings
- Consultation/liaison with EDA to identify technical solutions
- Manage inabilities including maintaining forecasts against inabilities whilst ensuring that the status is reported correctly to the project team.
- Interface with off-site teams
- Recommendations of component& asset procurement and repair priority allocations to achieve asset availability
- Recommendations of asset locations within the supply chain to achieve optimum asset availability, including initiation of supply action and transportation
- Identify component obsolescence
- Monitoring and recording of asset availability data in support of contractually defined KPI metrics

Skills:
- HND/HNC in Business and Finance or equivalent
- Knowledge of MOD support environment desirable
- Experience of MOD Logistics Tool advantageous
