Project Manager - Full lifecycle IT Development
Purpose: My client is looking to appoint an experienced IT Project Management professional to manage full lifecycle development projects from inception to handover to business operations.
You will be a Prince 2 qualified professional with a proven track record and a commitment to disciplined and formal project control methodologies (specification, analysis, testing, documentation). Ideally with 3-5 years experience; Experience of resource and risk management of complex real-time applications, preferably transaction processing and major client/server based developments (NT/VB/C++ preferred); delivery of projects on time, on cost and to specification.
Key Responsibilities include:
- To project manage the development and implementation of new business products and processes covering all aspects of the development life cycle from project scope through to migration and handover to IT Operations, Applications Support, Retail Operations and other business areas
- Manage a project team which could be made up of a mixture of internal and external resources
- Manage multiple projects in parallel

Produce detailed project plans and report project progress using MS Project 2000

Salary Guide: Up to £42k (Depending on Experience)

Skills:
- 3-5 years significant project management experience;
- Experience in resource and risk management of complex real-time applications, preferably transaction processing and major client/server based developments (NT/VB/C++ preferred);
- Qualified in Prince 2 or equivalent project management methodological training
- Progressive career in project management with experience of, and commitment to, disciplined and formal project control methodologies (specification, analysis, testing, documentation);
- Experiences of managing third party suppliers;
- PC literacy with experiences of Microsoft Project
