Programme and Project Planner - Circa £42K

Purpose: A Programme Planner required for a Leeds based services organisation.

An excellent role for any programme or project planner looking for a high profile, challenging role, an opportunity to not only provide the planning across the site but also advise on best practice.

  • Fixed term contract to 31/12/08
  • Prior experience required in planning large programmes of work
  • Preferably with mixed experience in both the private / public sectors
  • Ideally experience within a services organisation

The Programme Planner will be working on a large, high profile, complex programme of work and will be:

  • Creating programme plans and supporting the creation of individual project plans - tracking progress and status
  • Providing advice/guidance and training to Project Managers and Workstream Leaders on the production of plans - providing excellent planning expertise
  • Reporting and communicating the critical path and ensuring all Workstream Managers are on track - reporting slippages and assisting in solutions

You'll be able to advise on programme and project planning best practice - using your prior experience and expert skills in planning to ensure the planning elements of the programme are robust.

You'll be able to implement planning and tracking processes and standards across the programme and projects, in effect managing the whole planning service.

Skills:

  • Competent and experienced planner - programme and project level (complex and high profile services based programme)
  • Expert in project management planning tools (MS Project etc)
  • Experience of working within recognised project management process and methods
  • Prior experience in both private and public sector programmes - experience in a services organisation would be beneficial
  • Ability to provide programme and project planning expertise to Project Managers and Workstream Leaders
  • Degree level education
