Project Manager - Engineering Fabrication
Purpose: Project Manager required with experience of specification, manufacture and deployment of bespoke cladding/fabrication Projects for our client who are a leading supplier to the UK construction industry. Reporting to the Special Projects Manager you will support the delivery of contracts through the full project lifecycle.
Your project management experience and track record of working with architects, consultants and 3rd party suppliers will allow you to take full responsibility for your projects through to final invoicing. You will be an experienced AutoCAD user able to take engineering drawings and manage their transition into installed product. You will have a high level of IT literacy and the ability to: ensure document control; resolve resource issues; and, manage internal draught resources.
You will have an HNC in a Building related qualification or equivalent complemented with excellent presentation and communication skills. You will be able to demonstrate an attention to detail as well as balance demands. Your client facing skills will enable you to effectively interact with customers with diverse needs.
Key responsibilities
- Regular review of project status both internally and internally on site and at the dealer premises
- Regular weekly review meetings with manager on the current project status to ensure effective focus on the key issues
- Agree time line activities to meet project lead times and Dealer order requirements
- Ensure orders placed and acknowledged in a timely manner
- Provide technical solutions where Dealers have incorrectly detailed product or do not have technical expertise or resolve design problems
- The ability to draw on AutoCAD
- The job involves a high level of literacy to ensure document control and drawing submissions can be co-ordinated via electronic transmission
- Provide problem solving resource to site management and any technical issues that arise during installation
- Manage outside draught resource and review drawings for accuracy

Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of the construction industry
- Experience of managing projects in the Architectural Aluminium industry a distinct advantage
- Have a good understanding of the procurement chain within the Architectural Aluminium industry
- The ability to draw on AutoCAD is essential
- HNC in Building related qualification or equivalent as a minimum
