Project Manager - £50k + "for the right person" - Engineering background

Purpose: A Project Manager with an engineering background is required to join an international organisation involved in the delivery of strategic projects in the UK.

Based in Hertfordshire with occasional visits to clients and suppliers you will have day to day responsibility for the delivery of one or more significant contracts.

The core requirements are to lead and direct for our client in-house and internal resources to deliver contract requirements in a professional and efficient manner. This involves chairing internal project reviews, providing periodic reports to the customer and Projects Leader and attending customer, supplier and site meetings.

You will also be required to authorise and implement the requirements of project health, safety, environment and quality plans and constantly be looking for means to optimise delivery of projects through process improvement.

  • Ensure suitable sufficient and competent in-house and internal resources are employed to deliver projects in a safe manner
  • Ensure that the requirements of company and contract safety objectives, plans etc. are fully complied with in the execution of contract works

Salary Guide:
To £50K plus for right experience, Final Salary Pension (5% cont) max of 8% bonus (dependent on company and personal performance) and 25 days holiday

Skills: Essential:

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft Outlook
  • Demonstrable experience of working within the engineering industry


Advantageous:

  • Member of Association of Project Managers and/or Chartered Engineer
  • Educated to degree level
  • Experience of railway engineering projects, partnering and alliance
  • Experience of IChemE, MF/1 and NEC contract forms
