Project Manager – Educational Business Change / Project Initiator

Purpose: An experienced Project Manager – with specific experience within the initiation of business change projects is required for an educational institution based in Cambridgeshire. The Project Manager should be experienced in managing business change projects (business process re-engineering) and be able to take initial ideas and kick start the proposals, business cases, feasibility studies etc and lead the project through the initiation stages. Working closely with others within the project management field you’ll also be managing resource allocation, planning, issue resolution, change management and providing best practice project management techniques.


Key requirements for the role include;

Experienced at working at board level / strategic level through to project initiation and delivery – taking the initial idea/concept and working through to viable business solutions

Experience in change management – issues, approaches, tools/ strategies etc

Process Modelling experience – data modelling etc

Experienced in both private / public sectors – main experience needs to be in organisations that have experienced large / complex changes (people, process, technology changes)

Skills:

  • Qualification or working knowledge of Prince2
  • Knowledge and experience of leading on Change Management projects or programmes
  • Have worked in complex environments
  • Understanding of general approaches, tools and applications in Process modelling and information architecture
  • Understanding and appreciation of typical corporate and strategic technologies that play an enabling role
  • Excellent planning skills to meet project objectives
