Purpose: Our client, a charitable organisation based in Tyne and Wear are looking for two Project Managers to join their organisation. Working on projects of an Information Systems nature (from £10K through to £5M in value), you will have prior proven experience (up to 10 years experience ideally) of delivering projects right through the project lifecycle. Using an in-house methodology as a base your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Create project plans and propose budgets. (Projects can be from £10,000 to £5m)
- Negotiate and accept responsibility for budgets and project delivery
- Manage project resource of up to 50 staff from across all IS and business areas to deliver projects up to £5m
- Exert direct control over critical project budgets
- Authorise purchases within budget and variances
- Report to project boards as appropriate
- Collect data and report project expenditure and forecast to the Board
You will be degree educated and have prior proven experience of managing projects with over £1M budgets, be an excellent project leader in terms of motivation of project team members and be looking for an opportunity with a difference. All projects are internally focused and the organisation environment is that of a friendly, bubbly place where people like to work hard but have fun doing so!

Skills:
- Degree or equivalent
- Demonstrable experience as Senior / Project manager
- In-depth knowledge of the complete project life cycle
- Prolonged use of methodology development tools (MS Project etc)
- Successful delivery of projects of at least £1M to time and budget
- Excellent motivator / people manager
- Sound negotiation skills to board level
