Risk Manager - Aerospace

Purpose: Permanent Risk Manager required to join a major future product programme for our leading aerospace client. You will own the risk process within the programme applying the Company risk policy and associated processes. As a focal point with team members, you will promote and embed a risk management culture ensuring that risk information is reviewed and actioned on a regular basis.

Candidates will have demonstrable project management experience complemented by ‘hands-on’ risk management activities. Ideally you will be a member of the IRM and experience of using propriety risk management database software would be seen as advantageous. Educated to degree level or equivalent you will have budget management experience, a customer focused approach as well as good communication skills. Self motivated and good at prioritising your own work load you will be a master at working to short timescales. Open minded your willingness to learn new processes and tools will be demonstrated by a constructive and proactive approach in the support of continuous improvement.

Your main tasks and activities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Undertake quantitative risk and opportunity analysis
  • Promote and embed a risk and opportunities management approach within the team
  • Develop and maintain a risk plan and register
  • Provide high quality and timely risk information
  • Lead and direct multi-functional/cross discipline teams in the risk management process
  • Report and present risk management progress and issues
  • Participate in the risk process continuous development forums

Skills:

  • Ideally educated to degree level, or equivalent
  • Demonstrable Project Management experience
  • Membership of the Institute of Risk Management
  • Experience of risk management database software would be advantageous.
  • ‘Hands-on’ risk management activities

  • Demonstrate good communication skills
