Project Management Career Development Advisor

Purpose: Project Manager required to fill this unusual position within a leading UK organisation. Reporting to the Head of Project Management your role will be to manage the career development requirements of the Project Management staff within the organisation.

You will assume responsibility for managing all career development initiatives within the project management community in addition to pioneering you own new ideas. In the first instance you will manage the provision of career development panels, training actions and deliver a career development plan for all staff engaged in project management roles. Further duties will include operating a graduate development programme in addition to acting as the international representative for project management workshops both in the UK and overseas.

Previous experience of implementing and driving a project centric approach within a large organisation is fundamental to the success of your application. Additionally, time served as a delivering Project Manager will only enhance your credibility as the organisation will expect you to practice what you preach. For the right candidate, industry experience is not necessarily a must. To operate successfully, strong candidates would be required to demonstrate an intellectual knowledge of the main project management methodologies in addition to having operational experience in their deployment. Subsequently, accredited Project Managers with all of the above will be warmly received.
