Programme Manager - Engineering Defence
Purpose: Permanent Programme Manager required to manage the £multi million CAD/PLM Engineering toolset programme for our defence client. Reporting to the Through Life Information Manager, you will manage a small team of IS Project Engineers in business engagement from requirements capture through delivery and support of engineering IT services.
The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills and a proven track record in the delivery of IT projects above £100k. They will also possess excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly distil and present the gist of complex activities to all levels of management. Knowledge of CAD/CAM/PLM Solutions and an understanding of the Engineering Product Lifecycle would be an advantage as would any supply chain experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that all aspects of the Engineering IT projects are fully defined to ensure customer requirements are achieved whilst aligning to the Engineering toolset and process strategies.
- Develop and maintain Engineering IT project plans and budgets which will deliver to customer and business needs, ensuring that these plans are consistent with overall programme needs, and that specific deadlines and milestones are agreed and communicated to all parties involved.
- Co-ordinate and manage projects so that they are delivered to agreed time, cost and quality requirements, regularly reviewing and reporting on progress against plan and, where necessary, intervening to resolve issues which threaten delivery to plan.
- Manage assigned relationships with key IT partners, suppliers and sub-contractors
- Ensure the project team possesses the required resources and capabilities to effectively deliver the project in line with all requirements.
- Lead, develop and motivate assigned staff to ensure they are aware of and capable of meeting their accountabilities.
- Liaise with all functions relevant to the delivery of assigned projects to build an integrated project team and to enable the achievement of project objectives.
