OFCOM serves as the United Kingdom’s largest independent telecommunications regulatory body, based in Central London.
Tasked with a huge programme of work to be rolled out for the 2012 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games in London, the funding was in place now they required the staff to ensure it could deliver. And being as high profile of a project as the Olympics, achievement and success were expected of OFCOM. Due to the nature of the programme and it’s globally high profile, failure was not an option.
Starting a Programme Office? No Worries for us!
A new Programme Office for OFCOM needed to be created, staffed and managed. Therefore, the resources required needed to be well-seasoned and subject matter experts in the field of Portfolio, programme and project office management. Project Management Team
Healthcare Commission (Care Quality Commission), the health and social care regulator for England, worked with Arras People to source a number of project management professionals to join their organisation on a contract basis. Project Managers were required to head up multiple workstreams of a business transformation programme, along with supporting team members such as Project Support Officers and Test Managers. Arras People not only supplies project management staff within the NHS, but also the regulatory bodies and councils that exist in the public sector today.
