A Programme Manager to Guide a Large Portfolio

Due to continued growth in the organisation, Merlin staff identified there was a need to implement a PMO which could bring some control to the programmes and projects in the portfolio.

Having been approached by an interim director who had been tasked with multiple projects and operations – he asked that we identify a strong programme manager who had experience of setting up PMOs. It became clear that the budget was tight and the requirement urgent.


Quick Turnaround

After submitting a shortlist of three candidates – two were selected for interview. The role was offered to a programme manager who had a background in implementing PMOs and had some strong delivery experience.

The candidate who was offered the role hadn’t long been made redundant from his previous role, so was pleased to not only be back into a new role in the new year but also a role which promises to be very rewarding.


The Short Turnaround Doesn't Mean You Can't Expect Quality
