L3 - ASA & Arras
Stellar For Public Defence Project Recruitment
"Very quick turnaround"
L3 - Advanced System Architectures (ASA) is a UK-supplier for complex, real-world requirements, mainly dealing with sensor fusion and tracking systems and communications systems. It is the British wing of a defence organisation based in New York. Effectively a systems engineering and development company, they specialize in systems relating to security and screening, an example being baggage handling systems at airports.
Once again, they provided a sound opportunity for Arras People to display their acumen in effective project management recruitment.
Demand Ensures a Projects Demand
Increase in demand for the products produced by L3:ASA is great news and this relates directly to government and Ministry of Defence demand considering the security conscious nature of the market at present.
With increased demand comes the need for increased headcount; the turnaround from initial enquiry to recruitment was a matter of days.
Defence Needs + Public Sector Needs = Arras People
Arras People have experience far and wide meeting the recruitment needs in public sectors both local and national, and in defence organisations. Other agencies had tried to fill the post and been unsuccessful so the challenge was to find a good candidate and quickly. Also the client was not the most attractive to possible candidates considering the nature of their work. Naturally, Arras People didn't mind such hindrances.
Arras People Finds The Winning Candidate, Stays True to the Role's Needs
Arras People consultant Gary Holmes took charge of the L3 ASA role and quickly submitted the candidate that was eventually hired for the position. The candidate was one of two that Gary submitted, furthering Arras People's continuing efforts to submit those candidates that correlate most closely with the role.
"The client decided to use us as they had tried other agencies and been unsuccessful. They were looking for a quick turnaround and candidates that reflected the true nature of the role," Gary said.
We love repeat business; not just for the obvious reasons but because it allows us to really understand and develop our relationship with an organisation. We've always said that using Arras People should just feel like an extension of your own in-house recruitment team - someone who understands the business, the role, what the line manager is REALLY looking for and an ability to make sure the process works around the key decision making people.
EADS Astrium, is Europe's leading space company. When they were looking for a new partner to join their Preferred Suppliers List, they choose Arras People. EADS wanted to refresh the way they attracted project professionals to their organisation, using a new partner who brought new recruitment channels.
