Non-profits & Arras

More than an Agency - We're a Project Management Specialist

"As a result of Arras' efforts, we now employ a candidate who is excited by the challenge of this new role and being a part of a team they already warmed to during the interview process."

from: Independent, not-for-profit organisation, London

An independent, not-for-profit organisation leading the process of a UK-wide high profile digital transition programme sought an experienced project manager to ensure the successful delivery to over the 72 regions.

The date was set - there was no avoiding 2012!

The organisation was set up to deliver the transition programme by 2012 – failure was not an option. Having successfully rolled out the transition in the pilot region, a blueprint was in place. 8 work stream leads had been assigned – now a project manager was required to ensure everything ran according to plan.

Recognising the challenge, and handling it with ease

Producing well-seasoned project managers is not a challenge for Arras People, as we have hundreds available – finding a blend of the experience of working on high profile projects and a personality fit for the organisation were the key factors.

At Arras People, we have a dedicated team of project management recruitment practitioners who have been retrained in the recruitment of project managers. The process in place involves a stringent 30-60 minute telephone interview with prospective candidates – this is executed via a competency-based interview. Having explored the candidate’s experience and skills, it was necessary within the process to ensure the correct personality traits and communication approach came across well.

Finding the right person for the job is what we do at Arras People

A successfully placed candidate who is excited by the challenge of this new role and being a part of a team they already warmed to during the interview process.

The client required a recruitment consultancy who understood where they were coming from – not just someone who understood the implications involved in the projects, but someone who had worked in the field of project management and had a good grasp of all of the aspects within the profession. We had a lengthy discussion at the beginning of the recruitment process with the client, sharing our background, previous experiences and suitability as a recruitment partner to deliver a successful candidate.

Arras' interpretation of our client's project management roles to appeal to the project management market in the UK is part of our standard service and recruitment process.

It is the reason why Arras People are The Project People!

Events Project Manager

Project Management Recruitment - Age Concern

Age Concern (Age UK), the well known charitable organisation for older people, has worked with Arras People on a number of long-term project roles. Normally Age Concern would have approached a high street recruiter to help source this kind of role but this time they wanted to make sure the Events Project Manager had the right project skills to fit their organisation. Working with Arras People allows our clients to try new methods of recruiting staff, in this case, using a niche project recruitment company we were able to bring more experienced professionals to the shortlist.
