Sudden departure creates urgent project management need

Brighthouse were about to embark on a major programme of work which included largely implementing technology but also ensuring that any new ways of working were fully embedded within the business. In particular an initial driver was to ensure compliance with standards of financial data security.

A contractor had been used over the summer but was about to depart making the finding of a permanent replacement an urgent requirement.


Effectively combining the technical skills with background

The project management consultant from Arras People, determined that the key to a successful candidate was finding someone with the right technological background who had experience of the retail environment. Above all, the successful candidate needed to be an effective project manager given the wide geographic area to be covered.


Finding the right match

The perfect candidate for BrightHouse -  a project manager who brought over 25 years of retail experience gained within some large high street retailers; managing projects from merchandising, supply chain through to complex IT projects. With a strong business focus, the candidate was Prince2 practitioner and certified Scrum Master, enabling e-commerce to develop and commence the deployment of PCI DSS (compliance with standards of financial data security), driving through the business.

The candidate was offered the role and commenced project delivery
