Armstrong Watson is a financial services organization operating from a Cumbrian headquarters across the North of England. The business is geographically dispersed and this has led to issues sharing data and information across sites.
Armstrong Watson were looking to implement an electronic Document Management System to increase efficiency and effectiveness across a group of offices spread across Northern England.
A paperless project manager
The challenge was to identify a Project Manager to take full responsibility over a three year period for defining common working practices,
- Identifying the most appropriate EDMS solution;
- Implementing the EDMS;
- Training users and;
- Managing the culture change to a paperless office.
Helping Shape the Project Management Future
This was the first introduction of project management within Armstrong Watson and as such they relied on the expertise and experience of Arras in finding the right candidates. Ultimately, three candidates were identified and were then subsequently interviewed.
The initial interview was held in Carlisle with a subsequent interview for the selected candidate held in Leeds. The candidate started a month after the offer.
