Purpose: My client who provide nationwide legal services are looking to appoint 2 Project Managers who will provide the business with an in-house capability to identify, support and deliver business change projects.
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Delivery you will be working with members of the Management team and with operational managers and external business partners to deliver Projects for their business department or support function.
Key to this role will be your ability to facilitate the business in scoping change and developing business cases, planning, controlling and delivering change.
You will ensure that the business changes proposed are managed using a structured approach and are controlled appropriately to ensure successful delivery.
You will lead cross functional teams of a small number up to as many as 40. Some budget management will be required and you will ensure that there is clarity around business risk and external dependencies.
Your experience will preferably include exposure to business change projects in a commercial / law environment. Exposure to IT and / or Call Centre projects would also be advantageous.
The purpose of the Project Manager role is to ensure that significant business change projects are delivered efficiently and the planned benefits achieved. The role does this by:
- Following structured project management techniques
- Delivering projects in a structured way
- Supporting the identification of conflicts and synergies between activities and departments
- The development and implementation of formal project management practice within the business and other associated business partners as required
Critical success Factors include:
- Business changes are sponsored, analysed, scoped, planned, initiated, delivered in a controlled way, and delivered within agreed time scales
- Working with business partners to facilitate change that will be commercially beneficial to the Group

Skills:
- Demonstrable experience in management or delivering change projects
- Experience of law firms, contact centres and claims departments would be beneficial
- Demonstrable experience of definition and scoping a project, including business case development
- Demonstrable experience of project planning, delivery and implementation
- Must be able to provide a bridge between operations and an IT department and have some awareness of IT processes
- Must be experienced in leading teams
- Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with strong influencing and negotiating skills
- Needs to show commercial acumen and present a professional and credible image
- Ideally should have experience in a supplier management or supplier audit role that would have meant close working with an external company or business partner

- Must be able to work to and meet tight or aggressive deadlines

- Potentially juggling a number of simultaneous priorities
- Requires strong analytical skills and the ability to plan and organise
- Need to be creative in problem solving and defining solutions
