Business Development Programme Manager

Permanent Business Development Programme Manager required by our defence client based in either Bath or Basingstoke. Our client delivers a combination of Programme Management and Systems Engineering consultancy within MoD and defence environments. They are therefore looking for a Business Development Manager with a strong background in selling high value consultancy to defence oriented organisations.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of the challenges faced by customers in delivering large and complex defence programmes and will be able to demonstrate their expertise in the following areas:

• Knowledge of Defence Equipment and Support, its programmes and good working relationships with some of its senior stakeholders;
• Developing record of consultancy sales achievement;
• Knowledge of modern marketing methods and ideas on how new media can be beneficially employed;
• Experience in promoting consultancy offers to a market
• Knowledge of Systems Engineering and/or Programme Management methods;
• Knowledge of markets other than defence where large complex programmes are common.

Salary Guide: £40K - £70K depending on experience
