The School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering at The University of Manchester, offers a range of engineering taught programmes for undergraduate and postgraduate study. 

Our specialist Management of Project programme offers 4 pathways allowing further specialisation in Construction, Commercial or Engineering project management.

The School is one the largest engineering Schools in the UK offering Mechanical, Aerospace & Civil Engineering and has a rich and success legacy in terms of engineering and industrial heritage.  Our Project Management programme developed from the traditional methodology of large engineering ‘projects’ – a topic which is applied during undergraduate level study but developed during further study.

PATHWAYS

We offer 4 pathways – Management of Projects, Construction Project Management, Commercial Project Management and Engineering Project Management, with modules being developed by project management experts.

Management of Projects is available as a full-time one year MSc and is based on a template of five core and three optional units plus a dissertation, which should be related to a ‘real’ problem and aims to provide state of the art project management education at postgraduate level.

Our programmes will develop your critical understanding of the factors that influence construction, commercial and/or engineering project management.
