In February 2010 the PPSOSIG launched a new initiative, holding free events in London for members and non-members. The PPSOSIG is the Programme and Project Support Office Specialist Interest Group – a voluntary group that is dedicated to the profession of PMOs. They already hold two conferences a year (spring and autumn) but wanted to run with an idea of hosting something which was free, a little less formal, hosted at an organisation’s site (to keep the event free!), held in London and something which just runs for a few hours so it doesn’t eat into too much of the working day.
The event went really well, over 50 people attended – all professionals who work within the PMO. The presentations from that event are available on the PPSOSIG:London website.
It went so well, the PPSOSIG:London have decided to host another event on Thursday 10th June 4.30pm – 6.30pm. The 2 hour event will be hosted by Arras People’s Lindsay Scott (Lindsay is also the committee member responsible for Local Events)

In the June meeting we will be hearing from Stuart Dixon, Programme Office Manager at AXA. Stuart will be talking about service menu’s for the PMO. This is an excellent presentation for any PMO professional to listen to and find out what other organisation’s PMOs offer. The event is being held at AXA offices on Old Broad Street.
