This blog you’re reading right now has been chosen by readers as the sixth-most popular blog in the project and programme management blogosphere, according to the Top 100 PPM Blogs hosted by ppmcommunity.com. Yes, How to Manage a Camel is among the 100 best blogs, as PPM Community has sought to collect and shed light on the leading project and programme management-related blogs in world to expand the dissemination of PPM knowledge and expertise.
We’ve always claimed we were the Ron Burgundy of project management. Now we can back it up.
In addition to their Top 100 list, PPM Community have many other facets that allow them recognition as a one-stop hub for the PPM blogosphere. Soliciting the input of PPM bloggers worldwide on the 5W-How on their blogging inspirations, PPM Community’s interactive manner lends a credence and air of respect to our high ranking amongst our PPM peers, readership and other-related brethren. On a page PPM Community devoted especially to us, we revealed some of our motivations to blog:
“Our blog is all about the issues, trends and matters concerning recruitment, albeit finely tailored to the confines of our niche within the community of projects and programmes. We saw the blog as an opportunity to share our feelings and expertise on matters pertaining to project and programme management, but, again, in a manner that specifically allowed us to address recruitment issues. We felt that the personality and face of Arras People had an opportunity to shine through here and we’ve strived to take full advantage of that.”
The post is certainly worth a read to our devoted Camel readers, particularly because you can dive into some of our own favourite project management pieces from the past and also learn what our most widely viewed piece was. Obviously, anyone would enjoy the opportunity to pat ourselves on the back, and we encourage other leading blogs like Stepping Into PM, Papercut Project Manager, PM Student, Pawel Brodzinski and Elizabeth Harrin (AKA the top 5) to pause for a self-clap as well. But acknowledgement needs to go out to the the strong hub that PPM Community is trying to be, making it worthy of our thanks. Not to mention our readership who have found the Camel voice to be reliable, solid and educated enough in the first place to warrant our high ranking and affection.
You stay classy, Camel readers.
