Description: Project Manager required to manage the service delivery of a £10m+ defence related equipment support contract for our defence client. Reporting to the Joint Team Leader you will lead the project management team ensuring effective performance through the use of appropriate tools and techniques.
Successful candidates will have demonstrable capability in the complete suite of project management skills – project control and reporting, risk management, planning and scheduling etc. Your commitment to continuous improvement will be evidenced through learning from experience and response planning.

Key Responsibility Areas
• Develop and maintain project plans and budgets which will deliver to customer and business needs, ensuring that these plans are consistent and compatible with all procedures and policies and that specific deadlines and milestones are agreed and communicated to all those affected.
• Develop resource plans and liase with functional management throughout the project life cycle to ensure that staff of the required capability are available as required and to facilitate the effective utilisation of resources
• Control and monitor project so that it is delivered to agreed time, budget and quality, regularly reviewing and reporting on progress against plan and, where necessary, intervening to resolve issues so that the project is delivered to plan.
• Ensure that projects adhere to all policies and procedures and that they are carried out in such a way as to minimise risk.
• Build and maintain effective liaison with all functional groups involved in project delivery to enable all functional, HSE and quality requirements of projects to be delivered and to ensure effective management of risks.
• Lead, develop and motivate all reporting and assigned staff to ensure that they are aware of and capable of delivering their accountabilities.
