This information pleases me not only as an America-centric person, but also in terms of the impact Arras People is having outside the UK as well.
May 2008 PMI Seattle Dinner Meeting: In a presentation entitled ‘How to Leverage the Best Project Managers for Winning Teams!’, project management professor and coach Stephanie Campbell (MBA, PMP) repeatedly cited the findings of Arras People‘s 2008 Project Management Survey to highlight the importance of a strong work-life balance of project team members seeking a successful output. Speaking at the PMI – Puget Sound Chapter’s monthly dinner meeting on 12 May at Double Tree Hotel Seattle Airport, Campbell, who works as a project management consultant and teaches the profession at Bellevue (WA, USA) Community College, specifically focussed on survey data regarding work-life balance, a detailed 2008 outlook for project management, and gender dissatisfaction in a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation that featured several affiliated graphs.
Each use of the Arras People survey within the presentation, which is available here, was properly referenced by Campbell.
Although we’ve yet to hear from Campbell regarding her citing of Arras People, we’re not at all bothered by her trust in us as project professionals. Moreover, if it helps our study and research on this burgeoning giant of a profession break new barriers, all the better.
