Project Management Salary Survey for 2007 – Oh, no: Not another survey

We have pulled together and launched our annual project management survey. This is quite fun and the whole office contributes to the design and testing- does it make sense, does it flow what will we do with answers!

Arras People Programme and Project Managemnt Recruitment

Last year Arras People set out to find out what had changed in the first 5 years of the project management in the new millennium. We collected data from over a 1000 mostly UK based project professionals and produced what is now recognized as the industry leading Arras People 2006 Project Management Benchmark Report

The headlines from the report last year -

  • A significant shift from permanent to temporary/ interim employment.
  • ‘Fancy titles abound, but it won’t affect your take home!
  • ‘Pay is generally rising, or is it?’ A significant minority disagrees.
  • ‘Contractors who put in the hours will earn more than permanent employees.’
  • ‘Employers are demanding professional accreditation, and the majority of respondents believe that accreditation will increase their earning power’.
  • ‘A growing number of people are working in the public sector.’
  • ‘The vast majority of those surveyed are looking for another job.

This report has since been used by 1000′s of companies to determine trends in salaries, day rates, and regional and market sector variances. The report has also been used by project management professional bodies to review trends in professional membership and project and programme qualifications such as PRINCE2™, MSP and those offered by the APM and PMI.

We are very excited this year to offer a number of major project related training prizes offered by Maven Training.
