And another Project Management Recruitment Ideas for this week, I’ve been looking at what some of our readers have been searching for on The Camel and what might seem like a obvious question is causing confusion for a few. So how do you show PRINCE2 on your CV?
Well firstly you need to make sure it is written as PRINCE2 and not Prince2, Prince II, Projects in Controlled Environments or any other variation on a theme.
The next thing is to make sure you put down which level you have attained – Foundation or Practitioner.
So for the foundation it’ll be PRINCE2 Foundation – if you completed the Practitioner level just write down PRINCE2 Practitioner (you really don’t need to put Foundation as well)
Next up the date you achieved the pass, so:
PRINCE2 Practitioner (2010)
Then you need to add your candidate number:
PRINCE2 Practitioner (2010) Candidate number: P2R/014369
If you’re not sure what your candidate number is you can check out the PRINCE2 Candidate Register.
Finally you need to add where you attained the accreditation from;
PRINCE2 Practitioner (2010) Candidate number: P2R/014369 – TrainingCompany X Ltd
And that’s it, hope it’s cleared up any confusion!
And one final thing worth noting – don’t use the PRINCE2 logo on your CV. I know some people like to show off credentials by including the logos but your CV should not include ANY logos or pictures of any kind.
NB – Remember that the PRINCE2 practitioner accreditation needs to be refreshed every five years so anyone who has done the accreditation before 2005 you need to think about re-taking the accreditation.

Very interesting, I have just found this PRINCE2 Training video on the difference between PRINCE2 and MSP, I thought you would find it useful to watch.
