Project Management Census Out Now

Lucky Number Seven will have some sizzle.

Back now for its seventh edition, one would be inclined to think that if the 2012 Arras People Project Management Census were a project, the scope had expanded significantly from previous editions.

Known for years as the Arras People Project Management Survey, the revamped Census has gone even further afield to enhance the picture we gather annually of the project & programme management marketplace. As a result, the 2012 Project Management Census tackles project management careers data on a variety of fronts: we want to hear from both practising and non-practising project managers; we’ll reach out to everyone from the Head of Portfolio Office to the project administrator; we’ll target the hiring professionals that hire project management practitioners, and the students of project and programme management.

And while we’re playing the “from sea to shining sea” analogy game, you might as well throw in, well, “from sea to shining sea”.

That’s right, the 2012 PPM Census is going international, seeking to create a project management marketplace picture from the US, Europe, and all other worldwide points as well. For those in Europe, Asia, Australia and North Americans attached in some way to the project management vocation (or, as one question asks in the census, if you prefer, profession), we’ll attempt to paint a worldwide picture of how the project management marketplace for 2012 appears to be shaping up. Each previous census has led to the already-internationally renowned Project Management Benchmark Report, a compendium of statistics, findings and information about those around project management for those around project management.

Uncle Sam Wants You To Take the 2012 Project Management Census

There will be room for people from all walks within and around the project management sphere to provide their input and the eventual snapshot of the project management marketplace that is our Project Management Benchmark Report:

  • PPM Practitioners
  • Students That Desire a PPM Career
  • Non-PPMs Who Want to Become PPM Practitioners
  • Recruiters (eg HR personnel) of PPM Practitioners (non practicing)
  • Those Connected to PPM Practitioners Without Actually Practising It Themselves

Help us to give you the most accurate picture of the project management marketplace today.
