An account of an IT Programme Management Office for MGM Mirage was recently published on the web, the account from the Programme Office Manager talks about the move from a departmental PMO to an enterprise PMO and makes interesting reading directly from the person responsible for making it happen.
The article focuses on what steps she currently taking – getting the buy-in from the organisation being the chief activity (and most PMO Manager’s out there will agree the main activity!) There’s also work to do on the processes and frameworks that are currently in place that will need adapting as she moves forward.
