New Project Management Book Available for Review

Deborah H. Herting was kind enough to forward to me a copy of her book, The Power of Interpersonal Skills in Project Management: Including Strategies for Success. In turn, anyone interested in reading (and then reviewing) a book for Arras People can have it. Some brief information before the sweepstakes begin.

Herting is a certified PMP, CPBA and CPVA, a veteran project professional, as well as the CEO and founder of The Deborah Group. A native of Doylestown, Penna., Deborah’s work draws on her abilities as a result-oriented leader and builder of relationships in helping organisations produce quality project outcomes. According to the back cover of The Power of Interpersonal Skills in Project Management, she intends in this book to give consideration to “the human side of project management….the power of leveraging interpersonal skills will translate to project success for your career and for organizational (sic) results.

If ever a writer wanted to testify to the importance of soft skills as an essential quality for the delivery of projects, this book may in fact be it. Does Deborah deliver? Well, that’s what we want you to determine.

We’re making the book available for free to someone who’s willing to do a little “pro quo” to get the “quid”, to expand on a common phrase. As we’ve said before, LinkedIn has to be mastered by job candidates, and we’re inviting you to log in and join our LinkedIn group. While jumping through this hoop, make it known to us that you want to review the book, be it in the message body or in the subject line. We’ll announce the winner later this week.
