ESI International is to be commended for providing substantial scholarship offers to unemployed technical professionals.
As those who read Project Management Tip Offs will be aware, we often receive contributions and news from ESI International, an internationally-renowned centre of project management and business analysis training, qualifications and expertise. Free events including online webinars and other seminars are also consistently on offer from their London-based offices.
ESI released this statement last Thursday that we at Arras People think should catch the attention of many of our readers:
Today ESI International announced the launch of a £250,000 scholarship programme for out-of-work technical professionals beginning on 1 Sept. Scholarship funds will cover the majority of course fees for approved candidates, who may choose up to three courses from ESI’s project management, programme management, business skills and business analysis curricula.
Courses can be completed at any European public classroom located in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Germany and Spain, or via ESI’s e-learning platform. Courses can be applied toward an associate’s certificate or master’s certificate issued through ESI and partner The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. GW will award advanced standing toward its Master of Science in Project Management to those who earn a GW/ESI project management master’s certificate and meet other requirements.
“Despite the current economy, project management and business analysis are professions predicted to grow substantially over the next few years,” said Alan Garvey, Managing Director, EMEA, ESI. “Demand for PM and BA experts is expected to increase worldwide in project-intensive industries such as manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, construction and IT. This programme will help people shift careers while allowing current PM and BA professionals to grow their high-demand skills.”
ESI’s Stand Out Scholarship will be launched on 1 Sept. and will run until 31 Dec., or until funds have been exhausted. The programme is limited to currently unemployed individuals who are European Economic Area and Swiss nationals. For detailed information on ESI’s Stand Out Scholarship, visit www.esi-intl.co.uk/scholarship.
“This programme supports project management and business analysis professionals who are unemployed due to the downturn by offering cost effective courses,” said Garvey.
We applaud ESI International for their commitment to help out-of-work professionals in the dire economic times we endure. We encourage technical programme and project professionals that qualify and desire to continue their professional development to seek out this new funding opportunity for the enhancement of their qualifications and comfort with the working patterns of their trade.
