Book Reviewers Wanted 2 1/2

***UPDATE: All the books have now been sent out to those who managed to snap them up quickly enough. All content below that had once stated how you could get a book sent your way has now been identified as outdated by doing this. We will make more titles available in the near future, so stay tuned to How to Manage a Camel for our book reviewer search!***

In honour of the passing of comic great Leslie Nielsen earlier this week, the title of this post reflects on one of the best comedic movie stars of all time to announce books we have available for review.

We have books available to aspiring reviewers today that encompass subject areas covering programmes, leadership, appraisals and effective negotiations. And maybe the problems addressed in these books don’t amount to a hill of beans, but this is our hill, and these are our books. We need project professionals that can take a project management-related text, wade through the jargon and help our readers to understand the benefits & drawbacks of these books on a project-oriented level.

We’ll send out the books, you give them a read, a thought, and a review, and we’ll publish them – either on our monthly Project Management Tipoffs newsletter (reaching over 17,000 project management subscribers); or here on How to Manage a Camel (a worldwide-renowned blog in project management circles). And all reviews make their way to the Amazon page of the book as well. It’s a great opportunity for a little continuing professional development, so get in touch in the Comments section below right away with the book you want to review.

Here are your choices:

Surely It Can’t Be Simple!

It is simple – and don’t call me Shirley.

Let’s break it all down for you: Just leave a comment and let us know which book you’re interested in. You’ll be asked to enter an email in the comments box, but don’t worry – this isn’t visible to anyone but us. We’ll be sure to get in touch via email to ensure we can get the book to you.

When you choose a book, please understand that we operate on a first-come, first-served basis. The third commenter who wants Creating Success earns precedence over the fourth commenter who wants Creating Success. But be sure to enter an email address when you comment – not doing so could be a deal breaker. A good rule of thumb: It’s usually smart to have a second choice as well.

You can take up to three months to read and review the book. Just know that we need a 500 word (about a side of A4) review from you. Take a look at previous book reviews to get a feel of the types of reviews we’ve had already.

I just want you to know, we’re all counting on you!
