JobCentre Plus is teaming up with Arras People on the new DWP programme, JobSearch Support Services for Newly Unemployed Professionals
Given the turbulent nature of the job market at present and that thousands of highly skilled workers have found themselves out of work, it comes as no surprise the Job Centre Plus has found it difficult to cope with the demand for professional, career specific advice that has flooded their branches.
The Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) has partnered up with service providers across the UK such as Arras People in the hopes of providing professionals with advice and support to get them back on the career ladder. Those from a project management background will be guided toward Arras People for the advice and support they require to get back on their specialised career path as quickly as possible. As project management recruitment specialists, our aim here at Arras is to provide each job seeker with a bespoke and thorough service which is tailored to their needs. Whether it be advice on job search techniques or writing the perfect cover letter, we aim to cover the entire job seeking process whilst paying particular attention to those specific areas requiring concentrated attention.
I am happy to report on 6th April we successfully began our provision of the service and are starting to receive a steady stream of candidates from various locations across the country. Feedback on the service to date has been glowing and it has proved to be very useful for individuals in need of guidance, the circumstances from candidate to candidate are quite diverse – whether it be struggling to get CVs through to interview stage, or being requested for countless interviews only to trip at the final hurdle.
