Experienced PMO Manager with programme and project delivery experience required to support newly appointed Project Managers on strategic projects for our financial services organisation for a fixed term of 12 months. You will provide effective planning and control as well as build a view on delivery of all the projects in the portfolio through review, analysis & reporting of key information derived from individual project materials. The PMO analyst focus for each project is either RAIDS or Change/Resource Management.
Candidates will have demonstrable experience as a PMO manager supporting projects and programmes with delivery of projects and/or programmes. You will be used to exploiting MS Office suite of products to conduct analysis and share your findings to senior management. Confident in applying formal project management methodologies eg Prince 2 you will be used to managing a substantial and varied portfolio of work and make the most effective use of time. Any knowledge of financial services sector, quality assurance or successful mediation and negotiation will be of distinct interest.
Ability to understand the delivery aspect of projects and programmes is imperative for this role therefore only candidates with experience of managing projects as well as supporting projects will be considered for this position.

Role Responsibilities 1. Provide pro-active PMO support to projects The primary role of the PMO Analyst is to work pro-actively with and support Project Managers across multiple projects, to ensure effective planning and control. PMO Analysts are each aligned to a number of project teams; where key responsibilities include: Ensuring effective tracking & reporting of Project Status, Milestones, and Dependencies Risks and Issues Management and Reporting Facilitating project planning and estimating and providing relevant guidance and coaching Advising projects on the use of the project methodology, tools, templates and best practice Ongoing work-plan tracking, including resources, deliverables Documentation Management Financial Reporting, including appropriate use of Change Control where necessary Constructively challenging the status and quality of project delivery
2. Quality Assurance and PMO Process Championing To ensure consistency and quality across the Change Programme, each PMO Analyst assumes responsibility for owning and championing a number of core PMO processes. This involves tracking and consolidating management information, monitoring quality and providing feedback and guidance where necessary. The PMO Analyst is expected to champion 3-5 processes, which may include: Projects Quality Assurance and Metrics Programme-wide Resource Reporting and Management Weekly Status Reporting Cycle Programme Milestones Tracking Programme-level Risk and Issue Management and Escalation Inter-project and External Dependency Management Methodology Mentoring, Support and Training for Project Resources Change Control Process Programme Leaver and Joiner procedures Project Documentation Management
