Project Manager required to join satellite office of a large European organisation involved in the development and installation of software solutions to clients involved in logistics, despatch and global trade.
Working in a small team and reporting to the General Manager you will assume responsibility for a number of projects which will require your attention and hands on management from start to completion. Projects will range in size from small document changes over several days to complete installations over 6-12 months. Your role will be client facing and your involvement in projects will commence shortly before order where you will conduct a workshop alongside the sales person. Your function will be to analyse all client systems and produce a report recommending modules required by the client. From the time of order placement, you will drive through development of the clients package liaising with in-house programmers, managing testing, installation, training and subsequent modifications. Our client uses their own in-house methodology and so practical experience of using Prince2 or a similar methodology would be advantageous.
This role requires a highly personable individual capable of working on their own initiative. You will be your own resource hence the ability to manage yourself to meet internal deadlines and SLAs will be key to your success in this role. A demonstrable background in project management is integral you will have solid examples of personal achievements in your current/most recent role. You will have a knowledge of ERP systems and have some experience in the IT sector, possible some networking or developing, ideally export or logistics based.
